The Home Team to Score market wins if the home side scores at least one goal at any point in the match. Bookmakers offer this as Yes or No. It's a standalone version of one half of the BTTS market — you're only concerned with whether the home side finds the net, regardless of what the away team does. Home sides score in roughly 75–80% of top-league matches — significantly higher than the baseline for any team to score in a random game. Home advantage plays a real role: crowd support, familiarity with the pitch and no travel fatigue all increase attacking output and confidence. The most obvious use of this market is as an insurance bet when backing a home win in 1X2 but worrying about a 0–0 clean-sheet result. If the home team scores but loses or draws, the Home Team to Score Yes bet at least recovers. The probability Sportdico models for home goals is derived directly from the Poisson home xG distribution — P(home goals ≥ 1) = 1 − P(home goals = 0) = 1 − e^(−λ_home).
